Approach and anchoring

Approach from the S or SE in clear water. Clear sand patches are few among heavy posidonia and rock, so search out a bare spot where the anchor holds well. Under a 2023 prefectural order, anchoring off La Londe is limited to two zones, off Port Miramar and off Plage de Pellegrin to the east, while the water off Plage de l'Argentière is set aside for licensed mooring buoys. Shelter from N, NE, E and NW winds; exposed to SW and S swell.

Practical

No services on the water. Port Maravenne 0.6 NM W and Port Miramar 0.7 NM W offer diesel, water and visitor berths; at the nearer harbour, land the dinghy just inside the entrance, before the fuel berth by the old harbour office, for restaurants, a bakery and a supérette. Beach bar and restaurant at the eastern end of the strand in summer. Supermarket 1.5 km inland at La Londe.

Ashore

Long sandy beach of about 1 km backed by the Maures hills. Vineyards of the Côtes de Provence La Londe appellation at the back of the plain, several domaines open for tastings within 3 km. Bike path along the former Salins-du-Pesquier tramway line towards Hyères.
