Small rocky cove on the north coast of Île de Groix, off Lorient in southern Brittany.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the north in settled weather only. Rocky bottom with poor holding, so drop between rock heads on patches of sand off the head of the pebble beach, and buoy the chain. There are no mooring buoys. It is more a fair-weather stop than a true shelter, holding a chop even in calm, and is exposed to any N to NE swell. Tucked close under the cliff there is useful shelter from a southerly. Port-Tudy lies 1.4 nm east.
Practical
Open anchorage with no services. No landing jetty. Tender ashore on the pebble beach at the head of the cove when the sea is flat.
Ashore
Coastal footpath GR 34 passes above the cove and leads east to Port-Lay and Port-Tudy in about 45 minutes on foot. The écomusée de Groix in Port-Tudy covers the island's tuna fishing past.
