Approach and anchoring
Approach across the Bay of Cavalaire on clear water. Bottom is sand with patches of posidonia, so drop on a clear sandbank; holding is firm and has held boats in easterly winds to 30 knots. Anchor towards the eastern end of the bay, where the water is clearest. A few buoys are laid for small craft. Sheltered from NW, N, NE and E, open to the south and SW, so leave in a rising libeccio. Refuge at Cavalaire 1.4 NM SW.
Practical
Leave a tender at the pontoon with the permission of the SNSM lifeguards, as beaching tenders on the sand is not allowed. An Intermarché supermarket and a Total fuel station are close to the pontoon, and a bus runs to Cavalaire-sur-Mer.
Ashore
Restaurants and bars line the beach, among them Le Petit Zinc and Les 3 Galets. A coastal path runs along the shore towards Cavalaire.
