Marina of 330 berths at Rivière-Sens, in Gourbeyre, just south of Basse-Terre town at the foot of the Monts Caraïbes. Run by Sud Ancrage.

Approach and anchoring

Call on VHF 9 before entering. Maximum depth 2.50 m. The reception pontoon takes boats up to 25 m. The anchorage outside the harbour, with a few buoys, can be rolly.

Practical

Water and shore power on the pontoons, fuel on the pontoon. Toilets, showers, laundry, Wi-Fi, pump-out and a customs clearance computer at the office. Technical area and chandlery nearby. Office on +590 590 86 79 43, open on weekdays, dock staff also on weekend mornings and late afternoons.

Ashore

Basse-Terre, the administrative capital of Guadeloupe, starts 1 nm north. Fort Delgrès, begun in 1649 and listed as a monument historique, stands at the southern end of the town above the Rivière du Galion.
