Inland marina at the village of Corre in Haute-Saône, at the junction of the Saône river and the Canal des Vosges, marking the start of the Freycinet canal network into north-east France.

Approach and anchoring

Reached by the Saône upstream from Gray, or by the Canal des Vosges from the north via Fontenoy-le-Château. Maximum draught about 1.6 m, Freycinet gauge. A shoal builds inside the harbour entrance and is not marked, and boats have grounded on it, so the 1.6 m depth cannot be relied on right into the basin, especially for deeper-keeled yachts. First or last lock of the Canal des Vosges depending on direction.

Practical

About 85 berths on pontoons, with inexpensive visitor berths, water and electricity at the pontoons. Payment is by QR code at the pontoon, in French and German only, and a code is then emailed for the showers, toilets and laundry. Capitainerie, pump-out and wifi. A chandlery, a restaurant, a hire base for canal cruisers and a boatyard are on site. Bakery and a small shop in the village, with a supermarket a longer walk away.

Ashore

Village riverside walk and towpath cycling along the Canal des Vosges, which links the Saône to the Moselle over 122 km and 93 locks. Fontenoy-le-Château, with its medieval ruins, lies about 9 NM north along the canal.
