Approach and anchoring
Navigable section of the Oise, class Va waterway. Approach from the river, no tidal constraint. Maximum draught 1.5 m. Keep to the marked channel, the Oise carries commercial barge traffic up to 1500 tonnes.
Practical
Ten berths for resident and visiting boats. Basic services. Provisioning at supermarkets in Jaux town, about 1 km from the quay.
Ashore
A restaurant stands at the foot of the pontoon. Compiègne sits 4 km northeast by road. The Palais de Compiègne, imperial residence of Napoleon I and Napoleon III, is open to visitors. The Clairière de l'Armistice, site of the 11 November 1918 armistice, lies 6 km east in the Forêt de Compiègne.
