Guide
Approach and anchoring
On the Oise at the Quai de la Republique, PK 97. No tides, river current moderate. VNF lock system upstream and downstream regulates levels. Approach from the through channel, visitors moor on the outer pontoon. Coming alongside the quay wall, watch for overhanging branches and shallow patches; bollards are few, so crews also tie to the fence and use stakes. Wash from passing barges is moderate, as they slow on the approach to the lock.
