Approach and anchoring

Central town pontoon on the Seille in the middle of Louhans. Air draught is limited by the bridge, which restricts access for taller craft. No depth is marked, reckon on no more than 3 to 3.5 metres alongside depending on the river level. The pontoon is about 50 metres long.

Practical

Free of charge and without services on the pontoon. The quay sits right in town close to the shops, so it can be noisy and busy.

Ashore

Louhans is known for its arcaded main street of 157 pillars along the Grande Rue, listed as a historic monument. Monday morning poultry market, one of the largest in France for Bresse chicken, at around 400 m from the halt.
