Approach and anchoring

The bay opens to the north and is exposed to the tramontana. The reception pontoon is exposed to a southerly, and entry is sometimes refused when a strong southerly is blowing. Berths are narrow, on lazy lines, with marineros to help. Fuel berth on site, maximum draught 7 metres. VHF channel 9.

Practical

The harbour is expensive, with rates roughly doubling in July and August: around 42 euros for a 10 metre boat off-season and about 85 euros in high season, or 64 euros on a buoy. A swimming pool is included in the price. The sanitary blocks are clean and modern, WiFi is unreliable, and the quay water is sometimes not drinkable. Fuel is self-service.

Ashore

The village is two minutes' walk, with a Spar on the south side of the port and restaurants such as L'Astaka on the sea wall and Bar Gus for tapas. A bus runs to Cadaqués for the Dalí house, and the coastal GR path leads to Llançà and Selva de Mar. The Sant Pere de Rodes monastery stands on the hillside above the village, in the Cap de Creus natural park.
