Narrow calanque between Marseille and Cassis, in the core zone of the Parc national des Calanques, where anchoring is limited to sand outside the marked zone and land access is regulated by quota.

Approach and anchoring
Anchoring is not allowed inside the marked buoyed zone that fronts the beach, but boats anchor on sand just outside it in about 10 to 15 metres, keeping clear of the posidonia. Sheltered from the mistral in the NW, N and NE, but open to the south: strong southerlies send in swell and it can roll at night as the sea wraps the cape. The cove is very busy by day in season and on summer Sundays, and quiet at night.
Practical
No facilities and no buoys for pleasure craft. The cove and its small beach are also reached on foot by a regulated trail: land access from Luminy is limited to 400 visitors per day from June to September, booking required on the park website. Closest refuges: Port de Morgiou at 0.5 NM W and Port-Miou at 2.8 NM E.
Ashore
The view from the belvédère de Sugiton, 30 minutes on foot from the shore, looks down on the twin Torpilleurs islets. The GR 98-51 runs along the cliff between Morgiou and En-Vau.
Story
The access quota was introduced in 2022 after the park recorded over 2500 visitors on a single summer day, the highest pressure of any Calanques cove.
