Cove with small beaches on Spargi island, in the La Maddalena archipelago off Sardinia. Weed bottom, poor holding over posidonia. Sheltered from north-west through west, open to the south.

Approach and anchoring
Sand patches take the anchor, but parts of the cove are very shallow and rocky. Tour boats pass within metres of anchored boats and swimmers. In mid-August 2023 fast traffic left the water choppy, and the cove can roll by day. Several areas nearby ban anchoring, and some ban navigation, so check the chart before anchoring. The cove is not a shelter.
Practical
Day boats crowd the cove, especially at weekends and in mid-August. The beach was empty from 6 pm until 11 am in 2019. In 2023 boats waited off Cala Francese to arrive after 6 pm. Late arrivals can anchor over another chain, and a trip line buoy marks the anchor position.
