Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the Grand Trait channel. The bay is fringed with rocks, so anchor well out on the sand where holding is good; one side dries and is foul at low water, so keep to the clearer side. Sheltered from N, NE, E and SE winds; fully exposed to the Atlantic swell from W and SW, and swell can work in and make it rolly even in light airs. Shift to Le Croisic if westerly weather sets in.
Ashore
Dinghy landing on the beach, with an Intermarché about 1 km inland for provisions. Le Croisic fishing harbour and its criée auction hall lie 1 NM NW by dinghy or coast path. Mont Esprit salt marsh viewpoint overlooks the Guérande salt pans south of the bay.
