Approach and anchoring

The mooring plan closes the head of the cove off the beach, marked by 300 metre buoys, to protect the posidonia; check the current rules before dropping. Boats anchor on sand toward the western end in about 5 metres, off the seagrass, with good holding. The cove shelters well from the mistral and the N to NE, but lies open to S, SE and SW, and swell rebounds off the rocks so it rolls heavily even in light airs. Watch the rocks off the eastern side, which shoal from 4 to 2 metres without warning.

Practical

No services and no legal overnight stop. Carro 1.2 NM W offers a small fishing harbour with limited visitor berths; Sausset-les-Pins 1.8 NM E has a 570-berth marina with fuel and water.

Ashore

A chapel overlooks the cove. The Sentier du Littoral runs along the cliff-top on both sides, inside the Parc marin de la Côte Bleue created in 1983, which protects one of the best-studied posidonia beds in the western Mediterranean. In summer a beach club at the western end plays loud music late into the night.
