Approach and anchoring

Approach from the south along the rocky Côte Bleue coast. Bottom is sand and rock in 4 to 8 m; look for sand patches and watch the isolated rocks and shoals on the western side of the cove, some carrying only 2.5 m. Sheltered from N to NW and holding well in a mistral, but exposed to the south and quick to roll even in calm weather when any swell works in. Check the chart, as the marine park has no-anchoring and no-take limits nearby.

Practical

No services. Carro harbour 1 NM west for small-boat shelter and fishing quay. Sausset-les-Pins 2 NM east for a marina with water, fuel and provisioning.

Ashore

The Côte Bleue marine park covers this stretch of coast, a protected area established in 1983 with no-take zones off Carry-le-Rouet and Cap Couronne. Coastal path runs along the limestone cliffs above the anchorage. Industrial sites nearby can carry smells on the night wind, and a campsite behind the beach plays music in season.
