Florida Panhandle: Pensacola to Carrabelle
14 lieux · Florida Panhandle and Big Bend
Close to 190 miles of Intracoastal from the Pensacola Beach bridge to Carrabelle, between white sand beaches and shallow bays where the tide stays under a foot and a half. Pensacola and its mud anchorages, Destin and Crab Island, the sandbar inside East Pass, Baytowne and Bluewater Bay on Choctawhatchee Bay, Panama City and Shell Island, then Port St. Joe, Apalachicola and Carrabelle, the jumping-off point for the Big Bend: about 150 miles of open water to Tarpon Springs. Three fixed bridges at 50 feet, at Navarre, Fort Walton Beach and DuPont: a taller mast goes outside in the Gulf.
