Martinique's Atlantic coast: islets and white sand shallows

On the windward side the anchorages lie inside the fringing reef: come in settled weather and read the colour of the water. Baie des Anglais opens through a winding, shallow pass between Îlet Percé and Îlet Hardy, nature reserve islets where landing is forbidden. At Le François, the white sand shallows off Îlets Thierry, Oscar and Long, the Baignoire de Joséphine, and clearance at the marina office. At Le Robert, holding is poor in the havre and better in Baie de Saint-Pée. Îlet Loup Garou is closed from 1 March to 31 December, and Chancel is open only at the old pottery site and Trapèze beach. Baie du Trésor, added to the Caravelle nature reserve in December 2025, is closed to anchoring.
