Approach and anchoring
Reached from the Gulf by a deep-water channel with no fixed bridges, so vessels of any air draught can come through. The river holds water through the tide.
Practical
Long and short-term berths for transient boats. Fuel berth with marine diesel and ethanol-free petrol. Store stocks live and frozen bait, ice and tackle. Charter skippers run fishing trips from the marina. Open Tuesday to Sunday, 6.30 am to 5 pm. Harbour office on 352 302-4725.
