Approach and anchoring
Wahweap sits on the Arizona side of the lake, a short run from the Glen Canyon Dam and Wahweap Bay. The lake level varies with the reservoir, so check current depths before exploring the side canyons.
Practical
Open year-round. Berths, mooring buoys, fuel, repairs and dry storage. The marina runs the largest houseboat and powerboat rental fleet on the lake, with kayaks, ski boats and houseboats up to 75 feet. Restaurants, laundry, showers, a campground and lodging with 350 rooms are on site. Boat rentals are available daily from 0800 to 1700.
Ashore
Lake Powell Resort, with restaurants and swimming pools, stands beside the marina. Glen Canyon Dam and its visitor centre are about 10 km south by road, and the town of Page lies a short drive away for full provisioning.
