Approach and anchoring
From Mobile Bay, pass under the Dog River Bridge with 22 m vertical clearance, then take the first basin to starboard. Dog River is well marked and offers shelter from bay chop.
Practical
Around 125 wet berths plus dry storage on a 13-acre site. 25-ton and 50-ton travel lifts, the larger with 6.5 m inside width. Full repair yard for sail and power. Diesel and petrol on the fuel berth.
Ashore
West Mobile shopping along Dauphin Island Parkway at walking distance. Bellingrath Gardens, a 65-acre estate garden, lies 25 km south by road.
History
Family-run since 1961, on the present 13-acre site since 1974. Three generations of Turners have operated the yard.
