Approach and anchoring
Reached from the canal between Decize and Nevers. Short approach to a quayside mooring with bollards, no lock immediately adjacent. Standard VNF waterway rules, no tidal constraint.
Practical
Basic halte fluviale with water point and electricity on the quay. No fuel, no chandlery. Bakery in the village, larger shops in Nevers at about 5 km by road.
Ashore
Pont-canal du Guétin, an 18-arch aqueduct carrying the canal over the Allier river, at 4 km west of the halt, one of the largest canal aqueducts in France. Nevers town with the ducal palace and cathedral at 5 km north.
