Approach and anchoring
Reached from Barnegat Bay by the marked Forked River channel, around a 15-minute run from the BB buoy. The river is the head of navigation, so depths shoal towards the town. No tidal lock; current is weak.
Practical
Around 35 berths, with the largest taking a 52 ft boat, plus floating jet-ski docks. Fuel berth open daily 9am to 5pm. The yard handles boat and PWC sales and repair, and is a Tohatsu outboard dealer.
Ashore
Forked River town centre is within walking distance for everyday provisions. Barnegat Inlet and the Atlantic are about an hour by water down the Intracoastal Waterway.
