Largest publicly owned marina on the Washington side of the Columbia River, between Camas and Washougal at river mile 122.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach on the Columbia River roughly 16 nm upstream from the Willamette confluence at Portland. The marina entrance lies north of the navigation channel; watch for shoaling outside the breakwater. Open 24 hours. Homeport of the Dolphin Yacht Club.
Practical
356 berths, fuel berth at the end of J-Dock with diesel and non-ethanol 89-octane petrol available 24 hours, pump-out, launch ramp, electricity and water on the guest dock. Puffin Cafe on the waterfront. Office on +1 360 835 2196.
Ashore
Downtown Camas at roughly 800 m from the marina has shops and restaurants along NE 4th Avenue. Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge sits 3 km east, with wetland trails open to walkers and cyclists.
History
The port was established in 1935 by public vote and presented its first comprehensive plan in 1938. It now covers the marina, Grove Field airport and an industrial park.
