Approach and anchoring
Approach from Stephens Passage through Auke Bay. Harbour officers monitor VHF 16, working channel VHF 74. The harbour does not take reservations for vessels under 65 ft, so transients tie up on a first-come basis. The Alaska Marine Highway ferry terminal sits a short distance to the west.
Practical
Three transient floats: C dock at 450 ft, D dock at 800 ft and a 966 ft breakwater. Power on C and D from 20 to 50 amp, fresh water in summer only. 100 ft fuel berth with diesel and petrol. Free pump-out, heads and showers, used oil disposal. Capital City Transit bus into Juneau, library, laundry and shops within walking distance.
