Approach and anchoring

Sited on Spirit Lake, a wide reach of the lower St Louis River, on the Duluth shoreline. Reach it from Lake Superior through the Duluth ship canal and up the river. Approach is sheltered river water.

Practical

Around 100 berths for vessels up to 45 feet, with the odd 60-footer taken. Fresh water, shore power and WiFi at the berths, heads, showers, laundry and an on-site ship's store with bait and tackle. Kayaks, canoes, pontoon boats and bikes for hire. RV park adjacent.

Ashore

The Western Waterfront Trail runs along the St Louis River for walking and cycling close to the marina. Downtown Duluth and the Aerial Lift Bridge are about 8.5 miles down the river.
