Approach and anchoring
Reached from Lake Superior through the Duluth Ship Canal under the Aerial Lift Bridge, then south along the bay side of Minnesota Point. The basin lies in sheltered harbour water clear of the open lake. Launching begins when the first ice clears the harbour, usually late March or early April.
Practical
120 slips, 5 of them transient, taking boats from 8 to 150 feet. Water and shore power at the dock, 15 to 100 amp depending on berth. Fuel and pump-out run 24 hours by card on file. 30 RV sites ashore, 12 with full hookups.
Ashore
Duluth city centre and Canal Park are a short walk north past the Lift Bridge, with restaurants and the Lakewalk path along the shore. Park Point beach on the lake side of Minnesota Point runs several miles of sand.
