Approach and anchoring
Reached from Mount Hope Bay up the Taunton River, past the Brightman Street and Veterans Memorial bridges at Fall River. Keep to the marked channel, as the river shoals outside it. The run down to Newport and the open bay is straightforward in settled weather.
Practical
About 110 berths with a fuel berth supplying petrol. There are restrooms, refuse disposal and on-site certified diesel mechanics. Haul-out, bottom painting and winter storage are handled in the yard, and the town centre with shops and restaurants is a short walk away.
