Approach and anchoring
The anchorage is sheltered from NW through N to NE but open to the south and to ocean swell. Anchoring is permitted seasonally, from April to October. Vessels must stay 300 ft east of Stearns Wharf. Anchoring at night is allowed only within the designated anchorage areas.
Practical
No charge for the first five days, then a per-foot daily fee set by the city Waterfront Department. Santa Barbara Harbour and the Santa Barbara Yacht Club lie 0.6 nm SW with fuel, water and visitor berths. Reach the harbour master on VHF 12.
