Approach and anchoring
Approach from Long Island Sound and run up the Housatonic through a marked channel that winds between broad salt-marsh flats. The site is well sheltered from open-water weather.
Practical
Over 600 berths take vessels of all sizes, with both seasonal and transient dockage. There is a fuel berth and a maintenance yard on site. The Outrigger restaurant sits at the marina, with further delis and eateries close by. A summer concert series runs through the season.
Ashore
Fishing grounds for striped bass, bluefish and fluke lie in the river and out on the Sound. Downtown Stratford and its shops are a short drive away.
