Approach and anchoring
Entered through the Rudee Inlet jetties from the Atlantic, with no Intracoastal Waterway link. The entrance channel is dredged to about 3 metres at low water and shoals between cycles, so check the latest survey. Fixed and floating piers lie inside the inlet.
Practical
Berths for vessels up to roughly 30 metres, 30 and 50 amp shore power, heads and showers, pump-out, well-lit piers. Rudee's and Rockafeller's restaurants on the premises. Family-run since 1985, with jet ski and kayak hire on site.
Ashore
The boardwalk is a five-minute walk away. The Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center, public golf and tennis are all close by.
