Anchorage on the west coast of Corsica, in the Scandola natural reserve sector, roughly 2.3 nm NW of Girolata.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the open sea with no off-lying dangers once past the headland. Drop in sand patches between algae beds, around 8 to 15 metres. Holding is variable on posidonia, so pick a clear sand spot. Shelter from N through SE; untenable in any W swell.
Practical
No facilities. Nearest provisioning and water at Girolata 2.3 nm SE or Galeria 3.8 nm NE. Mobile coverage is patchy along this coast.
Ashore
Shore landing possible by tender on small gravel beaches. The GR 20 coastal variant Mare e Monti crosses nearby hills. Scandola reserve cliffs rise directly behind the anchorage; landing inside the reserve perimeter is regulated.
