Approach and anchoring
Paerdegat Basin opens off the north shore of Jamaica Bay. The club sits on Paerdegat Avenue North between Paerdegat 11th Street and Seaview Avenue, listed by NYC Parks as Paerdegat Basin marina 5. Several other clubs share the same narrow basin.
Practical
Seasonal berths and year-round storage for member boats. The basin runs into the open water of Jamaica Bay, giving a sheltered base inside the city.
Ashore
Paerdegat Basin Park borders the basin and includes Ecology Park, a five acre habitat restoration site. The Sebago Canoe Club nearby runs paddling sessions on Jamaica Bay.
