Approach and anchoring
Approach from the open lake on a westerly heading once past Stateline Point. No tide and no current, but Tahoe is known for sudden afternoon winds funnelling from the south-west. Lake surface at 1,897 metres above sea level, so engines run lean. The marina lies one mile west of the Highway 267 junction, off North Lake Boulevard.
Practical
48 moorings plus slips, gas dock, boat ramp, on-site mechanical repairs, fibreglass and gel-coat work, dry storage. Office on 530 546 8248. Tahoe City marina sits 5.6 NM south-west across the lake for an alternative haul-out or fuel stop.
Ashore
Sandy beaches of Tahoe Vista line the shore within 200 m. Restaurants and grocery on North Lake Boulevard at the marina entrance. The Tahoe Rim Trail trailhead at Brockway Summit is 4 km north for hikers.
