Approach and anchoring
Approach from Lake Erie into the protected basin behind the breakwall. Open lake conditions outside, sheltered berths once inside the wall. Closest deep-water refuge along this stretch of the Pennsylvania shoreline.
Practical
Around 220 berths, of which 88 have water and electric. About 30 transient berths without services at 10 USD per night, 5 serviced transients at 20 USD. Petrol at the fuel berth, showers for seasonal renters, restrooms, tackle shop with bait and licences, four launch lanes, indoor and outdoor winter storage.
Ashore
North East borough centre is roughly 4 miles inland from the marina, with grocery, restaurants and the small wineries of the Lake Erie wine region. Freeport Beach within walking distance for swimming.
