Approach and anchoring
White Lake opens to Lake Michigan through the dredged channel at Whitehall, then runs about 2 nautical miles inland to the Montague end. The marina basin sits on the north shore off Goodrich Street, well inside the lake and sheltered from open-water swell.
Practical
Seasonal and transient berths for boats from small craft to larger cruisers. The season runs from mid-April to mid-October. Town centre of Montague within walking distance for shops and provisions.
Ashore
The William Field Memorial Hart-Montague Trail, a paved rail-trail of about 22 miles, starts in Montague. Downtown shops and eating places are within 700 metres of the basin.
