Approach and anchoring
Reached from Lake Michigan through the Whitehall channel, then about 2 nautical miles up White Lake to the inner basin. The site sits well inside the lake, sheltered from open-water swell, and is one of the first parts of White Lake to ice over in winter.
Practical
Seasonal and transient berths for boats of varying length. The season runs from mid-April to mid-October. Montague town centre is within walking distance for provisions.
Ashore
The Hart-Montague rail-trail begins in Montague, a paved route of about 22 miles. Shops and eating places lie within roughly 700 metres of the basin.
