Freshwater marina on the upper Great Egg Harbor River at Mays Landing in Hamilton Township, southern New Jersey, at the head of navigation 10 NM inland from Great Egg Harbor Inlet.

Approach and anchoring

From the Atlantic, enter through Great Egg Harbor Inlet between Ocean City and Longport, then follow the buoyed river channel north-west through Great Egg Harbor Bay and up the river. The lower 10 miles are navigable as far as Mays Landing. Tidal range about 1 m at the river mouth and reduced upstream. Check controlling depths on the most recent NOAA chart.

Practical

Slips for boats up to 40 ft on a wooden pontoon, with annual and seasonal rates. Fresh water on the dock, the river itself is fresh and removes the need for antifouling. No fuel berth on site. Nearest petrol and diesel are at the marinas downstream towards Somers Point. Provisions and supplies in Mays Landing village, 500 m from the dock.

Ashore

The river runs through the Great Egg Harbor National Scenic and Recreational River corridor, designated by Congress in 1992. Lake Lenape County Park, with kayak and canoe launching, sits 1 km upstream. Storybook Land, a small family attraction, is 4 km north on US 322.
