Approach and anchoring

Reached from Great Egg Harbor Bay, with the Great Egg Inlet giving a route out to the Atlantic. The marina sits in a storm-protected basin split into a North Basin and a South Basin.

Practical

Over 400 deep-water berths for boats up to 60 feet, plus waverunner berths and kayak racks. Floating fuel berth, swimming pool, restrooms and locker rooms, and an on-site restaurant. Restaurants and bars in Somers Point are within walking distance.

History

Somers Point was settled by Quakers in the late 17th century and served as the port of entry for Great Egg Harbor, with a custom house from 1791 to 1912. Regular steamboat service to Ocean City began in 1880.
