Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach via the dredged San Rafael Channel from San Pablo Bay. Note that siltation has shifted the usable channel further east of North Channel Light No. 17 than the chart shows. Reciprocal visiting members should contact the club ahead.
Practical
115 berths for boats from 11 to 24 m. Members and reciprocal yachts only, no public transient. No fuel berth on site. Address 24 Summit Avenue, San Rafael.
History
Originally formed on 17 October 1928 as the yachting annex of the Marin Golf and Country Club, founded by F. Somers Peterson. The club was constituted on its own in October 1935.
