Approach and anchoring

Reach Scenic Bay from the open lake via the channel south of Cape Horn. The bay is sheltered from the prevailing southerlies that funnel down the lake. No tide; lake level varies seasonally with the Albeni Falls Dam regulation cycle.

Practical

Covered and open moorage available year round. Fuel dock accounting for over 90 percent of fuel sales on the south end of the lake, with the only pumpout service in the area. On-site mechanics, woodwork, sailboat rigging and painting. Marina store and 10 cabins for hire.

Ashore

Village of Bayview, with shops and restaurants, within walking distance. Farragut State Park at 3 km, with hiking trails and a former WWII naval training centre. Cape Horn viewpoint at 4 km by road.
