Approach and anchoring
Approach from the main Seine channel at slack water. Mud bottom with good holding. Strong tidal streams on the Seine estuary at springs, plan entry and exit within two hours of high water. Sheltered from all directions by the estuary banks.
Practical
Forain anchorage, no services on site. Berville-sur-Mer village immediately to the south. Chantier des Torpilleurs at 3.9 NM to the NE for repairs and lift-out.
Ashore
Berville-sur-Mer village centre is a short walk from the bank. Réserve Naturelle de l'Estuaire de la Seine covers the surrounding mudflats, a protected Natura 2000 wetland for migratory birds. Pont de Normandie visible 4 NM upstream.
