County-run marina on the Keweenaw Waterway near Hancock, Michigan, about 1 mile east of town on the Hancock shore of Portage Lake.

Approach and anchoring
Reached through the Keweenaw Waterway, the canal that cuts across the Keweenaw Peninsula from Lake Superior. The Portage Lake Lift Bridge lies just west of the marina, with the middle span raising from 4 ft of clearance to allow vessels through.
Practical
54 slips, 10 of them kept for transient boats, with electrical hook-ups on some berths. Petrol and diesel at the fuel berth, plus a pump-out station and a concrete launch ramp. Showers, heads and a laundry on site. Harbour master on duty 1 May to 31 October.
Ashore
Quincy Mine stands on Quincy Hill above Hancock, a copper mining complex worked from 1846 to 1945 and now part of the Keweenaw National Historical Park. The shaft-rockhouse and hoist are open for tours about 2 miles from the marina.
