Approach and anchoring
Reach the marina via Nehalem Bay, entered from the Pacific over a bar between two jetties. Strong currents run near the river mouth and the jetties on tidal exchanges; the more sheltered crabbing water lies north of the marina towards Nehalem Bay State Park.
Practical
500 ft of dock space, fifteen 15 ft rental crab boats, bait and tackle, and live tanks of Dungeness crab, clams, and oysters cooked on site. 17 waterfront RV sites, overflow sites, and tent pitches. Shuttle across the bay to Nehalem Bay State Park for hikers on the Oregon Coast Trail.

Nehalem Bay State Park across the bay has 6 miles of beach and dunes on the spit, plus a section of the Oregon Coast Trail. Rockaway Beach town centre is 2 miles south by road.
