Water and electricity on the quay, free first night then modest fee. No fuel at the halt. Baker and small grocery in Viéville village at 300 m. Picnic halt at Vouécourt at 1.9 NM north and halt at Riaucourt at 3.6 NM south for extending the day.

Ashore

Voie verte de la Haute-Marne runs along the canal towpath, 80 km from Chaumont to Joinville for walking and cycling. The Marne valley villages of Vouécourt and Bologne at 2 km and 4 km have Romanesque churches. Forêt domaniale du Val at 3 km for walking.
