Sheltered anchorage in the inland waters behind Orange Beach, Alabama, about 5.8 nm west of the Cotton Bayou marinas.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached from the Gulf through the Cotton Bayou and Wolf Bay system, with no tidal range to speak of in these protected waters. Romar Marina lies 5.8 nm to the east and Zeke's Landing Marina 6 nm east, both with fuel berths and chandlery for any restocking.
Practical
Open anchorage with no facilities on site. Sand bottom gives good holding. The bay is enclosed enough to lie quietly in all wind directions, so it suits an overnight stop or a settled-weather lay-day.
