Approach and anchoring
By water the marina sits at mile marker 31 on the Cumberland River arm, about 1.5 miles from Barkley Lock and Dam at mile 31.7. It is a regular stop on the Great Loop cruising route. By road it is 4 miles from Interstate 24.
Practical
Over 450 slips take boats from 22 to 120 ft, both covered and uncovered, power and sail. The marina holds the Five Anchor rating from Quimby's Cruising Guide. On site are a Boat Works yard, indoor and outdoor pools, a day spa, condo rentals and three restaurants.
Ashore
Hu-B's lies 6.5 nm to the north-east and Big Bear Resort 6.7 nm to the south. The Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area stretches between Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake for hiking and wildlife watching.
