Approach and anchoring
The harbour sits behind a guillotine storm gate and the 21 ft federal levee, which is closed in heavy weather to shut out rising water. Quick run to the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway and offshore through the Freeport jetties. Surfside Marina lies about 2.7 miles east.
Practical
Around 200 wet slips on 10 ft floating docks with finger piers, slips from 35 to 60 ft and water depths of 6 to 21 ft. Dry storage available. Fuel and ice on site, with the fuel berth open 0800 to 1700.
