Approach and anchoring
Approach from Lake Michigan through the Saugatuck piers at the Kalamazoo River mouth, then up the river into Kalamazoo Lake. The piers stand 200 feet apart, with about 16 feet of depth at the entrance and 14 feet inside the river.
Practical
Club members collect boats from the Safe Harbor Tower Marine docks rather than keeping their own berth. Fuel, chandlery, travel lifts and facilities are on site. Downtown Douglas and Saugatuck are a short walk or bike ride away.
