Approach and anchoring

Approach from the south-east after rounding the Punta di Cepo into the Golfe de Saint-Florent. Bottom is rock, so mark your anchor and be prepared to re-set. Holding is variable. Shelter from W, SW, S and SE. Open to the north and to the Libeccio building sea from the NW, when you should leave for Saint-Florent.

Practical

No services at the anchorage. Saint-Florent marina lies 2.1 NM SE with around 750 berths, fuel, water and a capitainerie on VHF 9. Port privé Mare E Stagnu at Saint-Florent lies 2.4 NM SE.

Ashore

The Fiume Bughju drains the southern slope of the Désert des Agriates, a 15,000-hectare protected coastal massif managed by the Conservatoire du Littoral. Shore path leads to the beach of Saleccia 3 NM north by foot via the Sentier des Douaniers, or 1.5 NM by dinghy along the coast.
