Town-run marina at Davis Park, on the west end of Fire Island, New York, on the Great South Bay.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach across the Great South Bay, which is shallow in places, and follow the marked channel into the basin. The marina takes transient boats only, with no seasonal berths. Shore power and water are fitted on some berths.
Practical
More than 200 transient berths, capacity up to 250 boats. Restrooms with showers, the Harbor Store and a snack bar. Day rates and extended stays available. A passenger ferry runs to Patchogue on the Long Island mainland.
Ashore
Davis Park has no road access: it is a car-free Fire Island community of beach houses. The ocean beach and the Otis Pike Fire Island High Dune Wilderness, the only federal wilderness area in New York State, lie a short walk from the marina.
