County-run marina on the west shore of San Francisco Bay at San Mateo, with 425 wet berths for boats up to 75 feet.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approached from the bay through a channel marked by two private lights, with around 8 feet of water reported in the channel. The point itself shelters the basin from the prevailing summer westerlies that funnel down the bay.
Practical
Berths run from 24 to 60 feet, with longer side ties for multihulls. Each berth has 30 amp shore power, water and a dock box. The fuel berth sells petrol and diesel, open daily 0800 to 1600, with a pump-out station and a three-lane launch ramp. Heads, showers and Wi-Fi on site.
Ashore
Coyote Point Recreation Area surrounds the marina, with shoreline trails and the CuriOdyssey science and wildlife centre within walking distance. The San Francisco Bay Trail runs through the park for walking and cycling.
